# Open a position

In the European Economic Area (EEA), only USDC is available. USDT is not supported.

1. Open **Instant Funds**.
2. Click **Get USDT or USDC**.
3. Choose **USDT** or **USDC** and enter the amount you need. The app calculates how much BTC will be locked.
4. (Optional) Drag the **Risk level** slider to change the balance between what you'll receive and the BTC you lock. A lower risk level means more BTC is locked.
5. (Optional) Turn **Auto-renewal** on or off. When on, your position renews automatically for another 30 days at the deadline, and the service fee for the new period is added to your outstanding amount.
6. Click **Get USDT** (or **Get USDC**).
7. On the **Confirm position** screen, review the details, accept the **Instant Funds Service Terms** and **Forced repayment rules**, and click **Confirm**.
